The BlackTECH ecosystem was founded to support professional immigrants with resources, mentorships, domain-specific guidance, value-driven programs, and sponsorships, and to create a safe and empowering space for everyone to succeed.

After 5 years of incredible support to professional immigrants, thousands have successfully enhanced their skills and advanced in the tech field. Yet, it became apparent that there is still more work to be done to elevate the skills of professionals in today's Gen AI world.

Most training organizations today teach professionals for the sake of knowledge but do not tailor their programs to current realities in the industry. We have seen an increasing number of professionals who have been trained elsewhere and yet find it difficult to apply their knowledge in practical projects due to lack of project-based skill development and support systems that are catalytic for meaningful professional growth.

As events unfolded and the challenges compounded, it became obvious that we must do something differently: design programs tailored to industry needs, including hands-on projects and structured mentorship to enhance practical skills for professional development.

BlackTECH Academy was birthed to bridge these gaps and to re-engineer the concept of experiential learning and applied skill development.

Today, we are proud to say that we are fulfilling this mandate, having trained and supported over 15,000+ professionals to develop practical tech skills and contribute effectively in the tech ecosystem.
